Tree plantation drive organized on "World Earth Day"

LOWER DIR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) The Department of Cooperative Societies has organized a tree plantation initiative on the occasion of World Earth Day as part of efforts to promote environmental protection.

According to a press release, following a farmers’ training session in Talash Dheri, Assistant Registrar Sahibzada Ihsanullah, along with field staff, visited an olive nursery and procured saplings.

The saplings will be planted within the department’s office premises and surrounding areas to help reduce pollution and ensure a healthier environment for future generations.

Sahibzada Ihsanullah said that tree plantation activities would continue to improve environmental conditions, adding that the initiative reflected the department’s commitment not only to professional training but also to eco-friendly practices.
