FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jun, 2026) Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Nasir Javed Rana has stressed the need for promoting traffic awareness among the younger generation and said that responsible road behavior, adherence to traffic laws and respect for safety measures are imperative for protecting lives and significantly reducing traffic accidents.
He expressed these views while addressing a special road safety awareness seminar organized at Jamia Imdadia Faisalabad to educate students about traffic rules and responsible citizenship.
President Jamia Imdadia Mufti Muhammad Tayyab, faculty members and a large number of students were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the CTO said that compliance with traffic regulations was not only necessary for personal safety but also crucial for safeguarding the lives of other road users.
He urged the students to become ambassadors of road safety and play an active role in spreading awareness within their families and communities.
He provided detailed guidance on road safety measures, importance of traffic signals, use of helmets and seat belts, dangers of underage driving and need for responsible conduct on roads. Many accidents could be prevented through awareness, discipline and adherence to traffic laws, he added.
He said that educating young people about traffic regulations had become a pressing need as today's students would become tomorrow's responsible citizens.

He also highlighted the ongoing efforts of City Traffic Police to promote road safety awareness through educational campaigns, seminars and community engagement initiatives for reducing accidents and improving traffic discipline.
Earlier, Mufti Muhammad Tayyab said that awareness activities in religious and educational institutions played an important role in character building and developing a sense of social responsibility among students.
He appreciated the City Traffic Police for providing useful and practical information that would help students become more conscious road users.
During interactive session, the students asked various questions regarding traffic laws, driving ethics and road safety practices.
The CTO responded in detail and encouraged them to remain committed to lawful and responsible behavior while using roads.
Later, special prayers were offered for Pakistan's prosperity, national security and stability, eradication of terrorism, maintenance of peace & order, sustainable development and unity among the Muslim Ummah.
