Traditional 'Balochi Chappals' continue to charm Quetta, nearby cities

Media reports ahead of Eid witnessed high footfall in markets across Quetta and adjoining cities, with Balochi chappals topping the shopping list. Customers expressed admiration for Norozi, Muree and Balaj cut chappals, highlighting their blend of comfort, durability and traditional charm.

Many men praised the quality of the chappals, noting that the threads used are durable and the leather is soft yet long-lasting, making them suitable for both daily wear and festive occasions.

One man said, “The fine thread work and sturdy leather make these chappals perfect for Eid,” while another added, “I always prefer authentic Balochi chappals; the craftsmanship is unmatched.

Shopkeepers said they are extremely busy from 7am in the morning until 5 in the evening, preparing orders and attending to crowds, with huge customers arriving every hour to select their preferred styles.

One vendor noted, “The market has never been this lively; everyone wants their Balochi chappals ahead of Eid,” highlighting how the demand for these traditional chappals continues to grow.

A customer said, “It is tradition and we do not want any other chappal; we always prefer these,” highlighting the cultural importance of these handcrafted shoes ahead of Eid.

Shopkeepers said they are extremely busy from morning till evening, preparing orders and attending to crowds, and added, “We are working hard to meet the high demand,” as shoppers continue flocking to markets to get their favorite Balochi chappals.
