QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) The Balochistan government announced that negotiations with the trader community, Chamber of Commerce, and transport representatives have succeeded, leading to the end of their strike.

The talks were held under the leadership of Provincial Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langove, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Hamza Shafqaat, and Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini, following directives from Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

Babur Yousafzai, Adviser on Home Affairs, confirmed that the strike was withdrawn after constructive dialogue. He said that the provincial government is fully aware of the difficulties faced by traders, businessmen, and transporters, and is taking serious and practical steps to resolve their legitimate issues.

The government’s aim, he added, is to facilitate the public, promote economic activity, and ensure a safe business environment.

Babar Yousafzai warned that anti-state elements and those seeking to spread unrest in Balochistan are deliberately targeting the economic lifeline of the province. By creating fear among traders and transporters, such groups aim to disrupt economic activity and slow down the process of development.

The Chief Minister has issued clear instructions that no citizen, trader, or businessman should face unnecessary difficulties, and their problems must be resolved on a priority basis.

The Adviser stressed that the government, security agencies, trader community, and the public will work together to foil the nefarious designs of those opposed to Pakistan and Balochistan’s progress. He thanked the traders, Chamber of Commerce, and transport representatives for their positive cooperation and responsible attitude, noting that their decision will not only restore business activity but also strengthen the province’s economy.

Babar Yousafzai reaffirmed that the provincial government will remain in constant contact with all stakeholders and continue to take every possible measure to safeguard public interest, maintain peace, and ensure economic stability.
