ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Jul, 2026) Following the directives of Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Tourism Malik Adil Iqbal, the Tourism Police have been placed on high alert across tourist destinations in Hazara and Malakand divisions to ensure the safety of visitors during the ongoing monsoon rains and flash flooding.
Special Assistant to the Chief Minister for Tourism Malik Adil Iqbal in a press statement, said the government was committed to providing tourists with a safe and well-facilitated environment. He said Tourism Police were actively providing guidance, assistance and emergency response services at major tourist destinations to help visitors during the prevailing weather conditions.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>He said the protection of tourists' lives and property is the government's top priority and directed all relevant departments to adopt precautionary measures for avoiding any emergency situation.
The Special Assistant also urged tourists to strictly follow safety advisories and avoid visiting rivers, streams, flood-prone areas and locations vulnerable to landslides until weather conditions improve.
