TMA DIKhan clears Muharram procession routes, removes encroachments

Dera Ismail Khan, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2026) The Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA) Dera Ismail Khan has intensified preparations for Muharram-ul-Haram by clearing procession routes and removing encroachments to ensure smooth movement and effective security arrangements.

Acting on the directives of TMO Muhammad Hanif, Tehsil Officer (Regulation) Arman Hussain and Encroachment Incharge Fahad Khan Sadozai, accompanied by their teams, visited various procession routes in the inner city to review the ongoing arrangements.

During the inspection, construction material, debris and other obstacles lying along the routes were removed, while the roads were completely cleared to facilitate the unhindered passage of mourners and emergency services.

The officials said that the operation was aimed at ensuring smooth traffic flow and strengthening security measures during Muharram processions.

They reiterated that the TMA was working in close coordination with the district administration and other relevant departments to provide all necessary municipal services and maintain cleanliness along procession routes.

The TMA officials further said that preparations for Muharram-ul-Haram were continuing on a regular basis to ensure the peaceful, safe and well-organized conduct of all religious gatherings and processions in the city.
