Timely public service delivery stressed for citizens

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jul, 2026) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Right to Services (RTS) Commission has emphasized the need for timely and efficient delivery of public services.

In this regard, an RTS Commission delegation, led by Commissioner Muhammad Ali Shahzada visited here the Deputy Commissoner’s office.

The delegation was received by Additional Deputy Commissioner(ADC Finance and Planning) Adnan Khan.

The ADC (Finance and Planning) Adnan Khan delivered a presentation on the Right to Services Act, 2014, and the mandate of the RTS Commission.

Addressing officials, Commissioner Muhammad Ali Shahzada highlighted the importance of the Right to Services framework and stressed that government departments must ensure prompt, transparent, and effective service delivery to the public.

He said efficient public services were essential for strengthening public confidence in government institutions.

The session also featured an interactive question-and-answer discussion, allowing participants to exchange views on their responsibilities in implementing the Act and improving service delivery mechanisms for citizens.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Commissioner Shahzada presented the RTS Commission's annual report to the district administration, represented by ADC (Finance and Planning) Adnan Khan.

He also appreciated the district administration for hosting the event and reaffirmed the Commission's commitment to promoting accountability and improving public service standards across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
