Tight security arrangements mark Eid-ul-Adha celebrations in Chiniot

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) Eid-ul-Adha prayers were offered at 104 locations across the district amid stringent security arrangements put in place by the police to ensure peaceful celebrations. More than 1,000 police officers and personnel were deployed at mosques, Eidgahs, and other sensitive points, while continuous monitoring and surveillance remained underway throughout the district.

District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif offered Eid prayers alongside police officers and jawans at the Police Line, where special prayers were made for the country’s peace, security, and prosperity, as well as for the elevated ranks of martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.

Following the prayers, DPO Dr. Naveed Atif visited various parts of the city to review security arrangements and exchange Eid greetings with police personnel performing duty during the festive occasion. He appreciated the commitment and professionalism of the officers and jawans in maintaining public safety.

The DPO also appealed to citizens to celebrate Eid responsibly and extend full cooperation to law enforcement agencies in maintaining peace and law and order across the district during the holidays.
