ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Mar, 2026) The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has forecast thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds and rain in several districts of Sindh during the next 12 to 24 hours.
According to the advisory, intermittent showers are likely in Tharparkar, Thatta, Badin, Mirpurkhas, Mithi, Umerkot, Jamshoro, Hyderabad and Karachi.
Rain is also expected in Kashmore, Dadu, Jacobabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad and Khairpur.
The forecast indicates thunderstorms with rain, while isolated areas may also experience hailstorms.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has cautioned that strong winds and hailstorms may cause damage to vehicles and standing crops in parts of Sindh during the next 12 to 24 hours.
Citizens have been advised to avoid unnecessary travel and exercise caution while driving.
Local administrations and relevant departments have been directed to remain alert and ensure timely response measures.
The NDMA has instructed all provincial and district authorities to stay vigilant and prepared to deal with the expected weather conditions.
People have been advised to take precautionary measures during strong winds and thunderstorms and avoid unnecessary travel.
