Three petrol pump workers burned in fire during petrol tanker cleaning in Haripur

HARIPUR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Jun, 2026) Three petrol pump employees suffered burn injuries after a fire broke out while a petrol tanker tank was being cleaned in Haripur last night, police said on Wednesday.

According to police, the incident occurred when a worker was inside the tanker tank carrying out cleaning operations.

During the process, the worker's mobile phone reportedly rang, triggering a sudden fire inside the tanker.

The injured workers were identified as Malang Khan, Imad, and Abbas. Rescue efforts were launched immediately, and the victims were provided first aid before being referred to Abbottabad for specialized medical treatment.

The fire was brought under control by other petrol pump employees, who used foam extinguishers to prevent it from spreading further. Authorities are investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of the fire.
