WAH CANTT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th May, 2026) A three-day special health screening camp was launched in Wah Cantt on Thursday under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, attracting a large number of residents seeking free medical services on the opening day.
The camp, organized at Wah General Hospital, was inaugurated by former MPA and PML-N Rawalpindi district president Umer Farooq. Officials said the initiative is aimed at improving access to quality healthcare at the community level.
According to organisers, a range of free medical services are being provided, including blood tests, tuberculosis (TB) screening, hepatitis and HIV testing, along with OPD consultations, maternal and child healthcare, nutritional counselling and family planning services.

Residents from different areas visited the camp in large numbers and appreciated the initiative, calling it a positive step toward public welfare. Officials said the screening camp will continue until May 16, describing it as part of broader efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery at the grassroots level.
