Tank admin mobilizes to extend ensure relief to citizens during Ramazan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2026) The district administration of Tank has accelerated efforts to provide maximum relief to people and maintain law and order during the holy month of Ramazan.

In this regard, a consultative meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Tanvir Khan and District Police Officer (DPO) Abdul Sammad Khan.

The meeting was attended by local elders, representatives of traders’ associations, municipal representatives, officers from various government departments, and presidents of market committees.

According to the administration, several decisions were made to control the prices of essential commodities, prevent hoarding, and ensure public convenience during Ramazan.

It was informed that the price monitoring desks had been established in markets to curb profiteering.

All shopkeepers have been directed to prominently display official price lists, and strict legal action will be taken against violators.

Authorities made it clear that no leniency will be shown to those involved in hoarding.

The meeting was told that in view of the anticipated rush in markets, a special anti-encroachment operation has been launched, and a comprehensive traffic management plan has been devised to ensure smooth traffic flow.

Police officials said that additional personnel will be deployed in markets and on major roads during Ramazan.

The municipal administration has also been instructed to ensure proper sanitation arrangements in fruit and vegetable markets, as well as main bazaars, to provide a clean and healthy environment for citizens.

At the conclusion of the meeting, traders and other participants assured full cooperation with the administration and reaffirmed their commitment to strictly implement official price lists and provide genuine relief to the citizens during the holy month.
