Commissioner orders completing all uplift projects by June 30

LODHRAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2026) Commissioner Multan Division Aamir Kareem Khan paid a detailed visit to Lodhran city, reviewing ongoing development projects, beautification initiatives, and public service facilities.

During the visit, the commissioner inspected the under-construction Bhatta Khameesa road, city beautification work, PDP schemes, the Land record center, and the District headquarters (DHQ) hospital. He directed officials to ensure high-quality road construction, proper steel-structure lighting, installation of recharging wells, and timely completion of all development schemes.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ashraf, along with administrative officers including Muhammad Tayyab, Liaqat Ali Gilani, and Farukh Ullah Khan, accompanied the commissioner during the visit.

The commissioner ordered installation of steel-structure lighting at Diwan Chowk and also participated in a tree plantation activity. He appreciated the efforts of the district administration for retrieving land required for the Bhatta Khameesa road project, instructing that the 1.25-kilometer road must undergo proper testing after carpeting and that adequate lighting arrangements be ensured.

Officials briefed the commissioner on the beautification design for the main bazaar. He directed that shop fronts be painted in a uniform color after completion of beautification work, large blocks be placed along pathways, and utility poles be shifted at the earliest.

He also emphasized public awareness regarding the benefits of underground storage tanks and ongoing development projects.

Aamir Kareem Khan said that all ongoing development schemes must be completed by June 30, adding that projects under the Punjab Development Program would significantly improve the quality of life for citizens.

Later, the commissioner visited DHQ hospital, where he inspected various departments, including a detailed review of facilities associated with Pakistan Kidney and Liver Institute and Research Center. He contacted patients telephonically to get feedback on services and checked the functionality of equipment in the dental department. He also directed improvement in cleanliness and landscaping of hospital lawns.

The commissioner further visited the Land Record Center and the “Apna Khet Apna Rozgar” counter, reviewing revenue-related services and interacted with visitors about staff performance. He termed the initiative a positive step by the Punjab government and directed officials to continue facilitating citizens ahead of the application process starting May 2.
