Street crimes reduce by 68 percent through effective strategies

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jul, 2026) Like other crimes in Lahore, there has been a significant reduction in street crime incidents. According to police records, street crime incidents have decreased by 68 percent this year as compared to last year.

According to the data, 732 incidents of street crime were reported during the first six months of the year 2025, while the total number of these cases was 2,344.

According to police records, 132 street crime cases were registered in City Division this year compared to 305 last year, 192 compared to 536 in Cant Division, 41 compared to 203 in Civil Lines Division, 187 compared to 516 in Saddar Division, 52 compared to 282 in Iqbal Town Division while 128 street crime cases were registered in Model Town Division this year compared to 502 last year.
