The Youth Intelligentsia SSUET Chapter, in collaboration with Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) and supported by the Saad Khan Foundation, launched a significant welfare initiative by establishing Mall of Humanity for SSUET employees in grades 1 to 5

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Mar, 2026) The Youth Intelligentsia SSUET Chapter, in collaboration with Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) and supported by the Saad Khan Foundation, launched a significant welfare initiative by establishing Mall of Humanity for SSUET employees in grades 1 to 5.

This initiative allows them to obtain essential Eid items for free, fostering unity, compassion, and gratitude within the SSUET community.

Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology, Muhammad Akbar Ali Khan emphasized the spiritual fulfillment that comes from charitable acts, noting that such kindness draws us closer to Allah and brings manifold rewards during the blessed month of Ramazan. He highlighted that collaborative efforts to support those in need can strengthen community bonds.

Chairperson of the Zakir Ali Khan Foundation, Erum Akbar, remarked that Ramazan teaches sacrifice, empathy, and the importance of sharing blessings.

She encouraged individuals from various backgrounds to come together for a common purpose, emphasizing that every contribution can significantly impact someone's life.

Chairperson of the Computer Science Department, Dr. Engr. Muhammad Kashif Shaikh, stated that the essence of Ramadan extends beyond abstaining from food and drink; it is about fostering compassion, understanding, and solidarity within communities. He noted that the best individuals are those who benefit others the most.

Director of Students Affairs, Hassan Zaki, described the event "Mall of Humanity," which aimed to provide essential goods to deserving SSUET employees in a dignified, mall-style environment.
