80-kanal land transferred for Judicial Complex in Chowk Sarwar Shaheed

CHOWK SARWAR SHAHEED May 03 (APP) , (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point news - 3rd May, 2026) The Punjab board of Revenue has approved the transfer of 80 kanals of government land in Chowk Sarwar Shaheed for the construction of a Judicial Complex, with a formal notification issued in this regard.

According to the notification, the land located at Chak No. 568 TDA, Tehsil Chowk Sarwar Shaheed, District Kot Addu, has been transferred in the name of the Lahore High Court for the establishment of the Judicial Complex. The Board of Revenue has directed the Deputy Commissioner Kot Addu to complete necessary entries in the revenue record.

The official document further stated that the land will be exclusively used for the construction of the Judicial Complex and the project must be completed within three years.

In case of failure to complete the construction within the stipulated time, the land along with any structures built on it will revert to the Government of Punjab.

Welcoming the development, members of the legal fraternity and local citizens expressed satisfaction, stating that the establishment of the Judicial Complex in Chowk Sarwar Shaheed will provide improved access to justice at the local level and help litigants avoid long-distance travel to courts in other cities.
