SSP Hyderabad visits security routes in connection with 07 Muharram-ul-Haram processions

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jun, 2026) Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Hyderabad Shahzeb Chachar on Tuesday conducted a detailed visit to the mourning processions routes of the old Jamaatis taken out on the occasion of 07 Muharram-ul-Haram and reviewed the security arrangements.

The concerned Deputy Superintends of Police, Station House Officers, organizers of the majalis and processions, and police officers and officials were also present on the occasion.

SSP Hyderabad visited various routes of Faqir Ka Paad, Gul Shah Bukhari, Pakistan Chowk, Golden Imambargah and Tando Agha and closely inspected the prayer routes of the old Jamaatis organized by Anjuman Safina Hussaini. During the visit, SSP Hyderabad conducted a detailed review of the security arrangements and issued necessary instructions to the concerned officers and emphasized that all available resources should be utilized to ensure peace and order during Muharram-ul-Haram and the safety of the mourners.

A foolproof security plan has been prepared for the procession and prayer of the 7th Muharram by the senior Jamaat members under the leadership of SSP Hyderabad.

Under the security arrangements, the procession and prayer routes would be continuously monitored through CCTV cameras, while police contingents, mobile patrols, foot soldiers and plainclothes personnel will also perform their duties.

Hyderabad Police was fully alert and ready to maintain law and order during Muharram, protect the lives and property of the mourners and deal with any emergency.
