On the directions of HA Managing Director Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, the Agency management had undertaken comprehensive arrangements for the decoration, renovation and upkeep of seasonal flowers and plants in the park, an HA spokesman said on Thursday.

The Agency, he said, was carrying out beautification work in parks across the city, with special attention being given to Millia Park due to its popularity among visitors.

He said colourful flowers and ornamental plants had been planted and were being maintained regularly, presenting an attractive spring landscape for the visitors.

Special arrangements had also been made to protect plants and flowers from possible damage due to changing weather conditions so that their healthy growth could be ensured.

The spokesman added that the pleasant environment created by blooming flowers and lush greenery had become a major attraction for citizens visiting the park.

He said the purpose of the initiative was to provide residents with a clean, aesthetically pleasing and safe recreational environment.

The HA staff were actively engaged in gardening and maintenance activities in the park, resulting in a visible improvement in its overall appearance, he added.

Citizens visiting the park have appreciated the initiative and expressed the hope that similar beautification measures would be extended to other parks across the city.
