Speeding car crashes into shop, kills one, injures two in Bahawalnagar

BAHAWALNAGAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st Mar, 2026) A speeding car lost control and rammed into a shop in Bahawalnagar, resulting in one death and two injuries. The incident occurred on Sunday, with several people present at the shop.

According to police sources, the deceased was identified as Mohammad Mushtaq, who died on the spot.

Two others sustained injuries and were treated. Police shifted Mushtaq's body to a nearby hospital for post-mortem examination.

The car involved in the accident was taken into custody, but the driver fled the scene. Police initiated legal proceedings and are working to apprehend the driver.

The incident highlights concerns about road safety and reckless driving.
