LARKANA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Feb, 2026) Superintendent Engineer of the Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) Circle, Mushtaq Hussain Burdi, along with Executive Engineer Asghar Shaikh, stated in a press conference at his circle office Larkana on Sunday that during the holy blessings month of Ramadan, load shedding has been completely eliminated during Sehri and Iftar times.

SE Mustaq Ahmed Burdi mentioned that a key meeting of the Ministry of Energy's Power Division was held a week ago, issuing directives for the entire country to ensure an uninterrupted power supply during Sehri and Iftar, regardless of whether the relevant areas are defaulters.

Supridentant Engineer further stated that under the leadership of SEPCO (CEO) Ejaz Ahmed Channa, special measures have been taken to provide relief to consumers during Ramadan. Due to the round-the-clock hard work of the staff, all transformers in the Larkana and Qambar Shahdadkot Circles are performing efficiently, ensuring no disruption to citizens' worship.

He added that SEPCO's toll-free number 118 is a great facility for the public; upon receiving a complaint, the issue is resolved on average within half an hour, which is a notable achievement for the Larkana Circle.

During the press conference, he revealed that out of 107,000 consumers in the Larkana Circle, 64,465 (80% of whom are defaulters) owe Rs. 48 billion in domestic dues and Rs. 80 crore in commercial dues. A special campaign has been launched to recover these dues and prevent power theft. Different areas have been marked, and awareness teams have been formed to make recovery effective.

He mentioned that in the past, some unauthorized individuals created obstructions in power work on poles in neighborhoods. Citizens have been appealed to identify such individuals with evidence so that cases can be registered against them. In rural areas, even without meters, power is being supplied during Sehri and Iftar in Ramadan; however, after Ramadan, consumers will be appealed to install meters.

SEPCO authorities assured that comprehensive steps will be taken to resolve power issues before the upcoming summer season.
