Initiative is designed to ensure that school buildings are easily distinguishable from other government structures
KARACHI: (UrduPoint/UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-Feb 26th, 2026) The Sindh School education Department on Thursday formally introduced a standardized color scheme for government school buildings across the province, aiming to establish a distinct and uniform identity for public educational institutions.
An official spokesperson said that the initiative is designed to ensure that school buildings are easily distinguishable from other government structures while promoting a cohesive institutional appearance throughout Sindh.
Under the newly issued guidelines, girls’ Primary schools will be painted in a white and pink combination, featuring a pink lower section and colorful stripes on pillars.
Boys’ primary schools will have a white base complemented by shades of blue and light blue.
For high schools, the colors will be more pronounced. Girls’ high schools will feature a bright pink exterior with multi-colored horizontal stripes on pillars. Boys’ high schools will display a dark blue upper portion, combined with green and blue shades.
Sindh Education Minister stated that the standardized color scheme is part of broader efforts to develop a clear and organized educational identity.
