Sialkot University showcases cultural diversity at Punjab Tourism Expo

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2026) The University of Sialkot (USKT) participated in the Magnificent Punjab Tourism and Investment Expo 2026, presenting its cultural diversity and highlighting the role of academia in promoting tourism and economic growth.

The two-day expo, held at the Lahore Expo Centre on April 28-29, brought together stakeholders from across sectors to showcase Punjab’s tourism potential and investment opportunities, according to a statement issued by the university.

The USKT set up a stall featuring a vibrant display of cultural representation, with participation from both national and international students. The exhibit reflected the university’s stress on global engagement and illustrated how educational institutions can contribute to cultural exchange and tourism promotion.

Chairman board of Governors Faisal Manzoor visited the expo, interacted with students and attendees, and underscored the importance of universities in strengthening the provincial and national economy through cultural outreach and international collaboration.

He also commended the Punjab Tourism and Archaeology Department for organising the event, describing it as a significant initiative to promote Punjab’s heritage while creating avenues for investment and partnership.

The expo served as a platform for fostering connections between academia, industry, and government, while highlighting the growing role of educational institutions in supporting tourism and development initiatives.
