SIAL continues Hajj flight operations

SIALKOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th May, 2026) Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL) has successfully continued its Hajj flight operation, facilitating pilgrims traveling to the holy land through both the national carrier and a private airline. The Hajj flight operation from Sialkot Airport began on April ,18 with the departure of the first Hajj flight.

According to airport authorities, both Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and AirSial are actively participating in the Hajj operation from Sialkot.

Chairman SIAL Hassan Ali Bhatti said that Sialkot International Airport is providing exceptional services to all Hajj pilgrims during the ongoing operation. He said that passengers are the institution’s greatest asset, and offering the best travel facilities to pilgrims is a matter of pride for the airport management.

He further informed that so far 11 Hajj flights have been operated from Sialkot International Airport, through which nearly 2,200 pilgrims have reached the holy cities safely.

The chairman added that SIAL has become one of the most important international airports in the region, ensuring convenient and timely travel facilities for passengers not only from Sialkot but also from surrounding cities.

On the occasion, Vice Chairman SIAL Waqas Afzal said that expansion work at the airport’s international terminal is also underway and will be completed soon. He noted that the expansion project will help provide improved facilities and accommodate more passengers in future.
