Shopkeepers warned against profiteering, hoarding

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Feb, 2026) Assistant Commissioner Aamir Zeb paid an early morning visit to the Ratta Kulachi vegetable market to review the auction process for fruits and vegetables here on Thursday.

During the visit, official prices were fixed in accordance with the auction results. Officials from the food Department, Agriculture Department, and other relevant departments accompanied him on the occasion.

He directed commission agents and wholesalers to strictly adhere to the officially notified prices and refrain from artificial price hikes.

He made it clear that hoarding and profiteering would not be tolerated under any circumstances, warning that strict legal action would be taken against violators without discrimination.

He further instructed the concerned authorities to ensure daily monitoring of the auction process so that citizens could be provided with quality fruits and vegetables at reasonable prices.
