Security measures intensified for 21st Ramazan, Youm-e-Shahadat Hazrat Ali (RA)

SUKKUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2026) In compliance with IG Sindh Javed Alam Odho's directives, DIG Sukkur and Larkana Ranges, Nasir Aftab on Tuesday has issued a comprehensive security plan to ensure foolproof security arrangements for the 21st Ramazan, Youm-e-Shahadat Hazrat Ali (RA).

The plan includes deploying 3726 male and female police officers and personnel, 59 police mobiles and 104 motorcycles for patrolling in Sukkur, Khairpur and Ghotki districts. Anti riot reserve platoons have been put on standby at police headquarters.

The security strategy includes securing processions and gatherings, monitoring through video recording and CCTV and deploying police personnel at mosques, Imam Bargahs and worship places. Special control rooms have been set up at range and district offices for information sharing and follow up.

DIG Sukkur Range has directed SSPs to ensure the safety of participants and mourners during processions and gatherings and warned of departmental action against any negligence or laxity.
