PCB announces historic prize structure worth millions for franchises and players.

The stage is set the stakes couldn’t be higher and the atmosphere is electric as the Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) reaches its grand finale today at Gaddafi Stadium, where Peshawar Zalmi lock horns with Hyderabad Kingsmen in a blockbuster title clash to decide the champions of a gripping 44-match season.

This is not just a final it is the ultimate battle for glory.

Peshawar Zalmi enter the summit clash as one of the most dominant forces of the tournament, storming into the final with a commanding 70-run demolition of Islamabad United in the Qualifier. With eight wins in ten league matches and a blazing seven-match winning streak, Zalmi have looked unstoppable at crucial moments.

Led by a sensational season from Babar Azam, who has piled up a record-breaking 588 runs, and explosive contributions from Kusal Mendis (541 runs) along with Sufyan Moqim’s 21 wickets, Zalmi’s campaign has been built on class, consistency, and firepower. The return of express pacer Nahid Rana has only added further venom to an already dangerous bowling attack.

But standing in their way is a team that refuses to back down Hyderabad Kingsmen.

Their journey has been nothing short of cinematic. From a disastrous start with three straight defeats to a fearless resurgence, Kingsmen have rewritten their season with pure resilience. After bouncing back with four wins, they survived pressure-packed knockout battles eliminating Multan Sultans in Eliminator 1 before pulling off a breathtaking two-run heist against Islamabad United in Eliminator 2.

Now, they arrive at the final as the tournament’s most dramatic comeback story, carrying momentum, belief, and fearlessness.

Adding even more intensity to the grand showdown the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has introduced a landmark reward structure for PSL 11.

For the first time ever the winning franchise will take home $500,000, while the runners-up will receive $300,000. A further $200,000 has been reserved for the franchise with the best player development efforts, underlining a new competitive structure for teams beyond just match results.

In addition players of the championship-winning side will share a massive $500,000 prize pool, making this one of the most rewarding finals in PSL history.

Unsurprisingly, tickets for the Gaddafi Stadium final are completely sold out the city is buzzing, and anticipation has reached fever pitch.

At the pre-final press conference Babar Azam stressed composure under pressure, saying Zalmi have focused on reading conditions and executing plans with precision throughout the season. He credited teamwork between local and overseas players as the backbone of their success and vowed to finish the job with the trophy in hand.

Meanwhile Kingsmen skipper Marnus Labuschagne described the journey as “incredible and intense,” acknowledging the highs and lows of the season. He emphasized discipline and sticking to processes as his side prepares for the biggest night of their campaign.

With roaring crowds expected at a packed Gaddafi Stadium, PSL 11 reaches its defining moment. Peshawar Zalmi bring dominance, power, and experience while Hyderabad Kingsmen bring momentum, belief, and a fearless underdog spirit.

Tonight, history will be written.

One team will rise. One dream will be shattered. And a new PSL champion will be crowned in what promises to be a thriller of pure cricketing drama.
