Security Forces achieve major success in anti-terror operation in Mangla: Shahid Rind

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) Shahid Rind, Adviser to the Chief Minister of Balochistan for Political and Media Affairs, announced that security forces have achieved significant success in an ongoing intelligence-based operation launched on May 13 in the Mangla, Zarghoon Ghar area against Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Fitna al-Hindustan.

According to Shahid Rind, more than 35 militants were killed during the operation, while multiple hideouts and camps were completely destroyed.

He further confirmed that three senior commanders of the banned terrorist organization were captured, and their interrogation has provided crucial intelligence leading to additional targeted actions. Security forces are tightening their grip on facilitators and supporters of the extremist network.

Shahid Rind emphasized that the State will not rest until terrorism is eradicated. He warned that those attempting to destabilize Balochistan’s peace, along with their facilitators, will be brought to justice. He praised the professionalism and determination of security forces and law enforcement agencies, noting that their efforts are thwarting the enemy’s designs with full strength and skill.

Highlighting the broader significance of the operation, Rind said that it is essential not only for the security of the region but for the stability and national interest of the entire country. He assured that such operations will continue until the complete elimination of extremist elements.

Appealing to the public, Shahid Rind urged citizens to cooperate fully with security forces and state institutions, report suspicious individuals, and play their part in the national struggle against terrorism. He stressed that the enemy opposes Pakistan’s peace and progress, but the entire nation stands united alongside its brave armed forces.

He concluded by reaffirming that the nefarious designs of terrorists, their facilitators, and foreign backers will be defeated, and Balochistan will remain on the path of peace, development, and prosperity.
