Hassan Abdal police arrest 10 gamblers, seize Rs 196,000

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th May, 2026) City police of Hassan Abdal launched a crackdown against gambling and arrested 10 gamblers. According to police, during routine patrol a special informer reported that several individuals were involved in gambling with playing cards in a cluster of trees near the railway crossing adjacent to a housing colony.

Following the tip-off, the police immediately formed a raiding party and conducted a raid at the location, where the suspects were found gambling. On seeing the police, the accused allegedly attempted to hide the betting money and escape, but 10 individuals were apprehended on the spot.

The arrested suspects were identified as Malik Waqar Hassan, Musarrat Ali Khan, Muhammad Shafiq, Muhammad Zubair, Tariq Mehmood, Khizar Abbas, Tariq, Zeeshan, and Shehryar, all residents of Hassan Abdal, while Muhammad Rizwan was reported to be a resident of Taxila, district Rawalpindi.

Police seized Rs. 196,000 in gambling money and registered a case against the accused.
