Secretary Communications emphasizes transparency, quality, and timely completion of road development projects

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2026) Secretary Communications and Works Department Babar Khan stressed that transparency, quality, and timely completion must be ensured in all development projects.

He directed officials to strengthen monitoring and oversight mechanisms, warning that negligence or unnecessary delays would not be tolerated.

Secretary Babar Khan that the Communications and Works Department is committed to accelerating development activities across the province, providing better travel and construction facilities, and continuing efforts to improve infrastructure for the people of Balochistan.

A key meeting of the departmental sub-committee of the Communications and Works Department was held under the chairmanship of Secretary Babar Khan to review proposed development projects.

The meeting was attended by Chief Engineer Naseerabad Zone Muhammad Bashir Nasir, Chief Engineer Kalat and Khuzdar Zone Azizullah Khan Kasi, Chief Engineer Loralai and Zhob Zone Qazi Noorul Haq, Technical Advisor Ihsanullah Khan Dotani, officials from the Planning and Development Department, and relevant Executive Engineers.

Officials presented detailed briefings on the feasibility, estimated costs, technical aspects, and proposed completion timelines of various road infrastructure projects. The committee emphasized that ongoing development schemes must be completed within the stipulated timeframe and to the highest standards, ensuring safe and improved travel facilities for the public.

The sub-committee also recommended approval of several new road construction and repair schemes. It was decided that all legal, administrative, and technical requirements for approved projects would be completed promptly to enable early commencement of work.
