Secretary Boards, Universities visit GC University Hyd

HYDERABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) The Sindh Secretary Universities and Boards Abbas Baloch has asked the faculty and administration of Government College University, Hyderabad to build the institution with dedication and a sense of ownership.

Baloch, accompanied by Commissioner Hyderabad Fayaz Hussain Abbasi visited the GC University here on Saturday and held a meeting with Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Moazzam Ali Khan.

The meeting was attended by the Registrar, Deans and Directors of the university, discussing matters related to academic development and institutional progress.

He also inaugurated a seminar hall in the IT Department and launched a skill-based program in IT and Artificial Intelligence (AI) during the visit.

The Commissioner highlighted the responsibility of teachers, stating that students come to universities with expectations.

He stressed that universities should ensure that their students created a meaningful place in society.

He noted that such a place could only be achieved through a strong sense of ownership and commitment.

The VC said the university was steadily moving on the path of progress and that they were all striving to enhance academic standards.
