Saudi dates target US market at New York food exhibition

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Jun, 2026) Saudi Arabia is showcasing its premium dates and value-added date products at one of the world's largest specialty food exhibitions in New York as it seeks to expand exports and strengthen its presence in the U.S. market.

According to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Saudi Arabia is participating as the Partner Country at the Summer Fancy Food Show 2026, being held in New York from June 28 to 30, with representatives from 50 countries and around 2,400 exhibitors. The exhibition is expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors from around the world.

The Kingdom, represented by Saudi Dates and the National Center for Palms and Dates, is displaying a wide range of premium locally produced dates and innovative value-added products that have gained increasing popularity in international markets.

SPA told APP that the participation of several Saudi date companies in the exhibition provides an important opportunity to promote their products, establish new business partnerships and expand exports to the United States.

Saudi dates have witnessed strong global demand, helping increase export value and expand the number of importing countries.

Officials said the exhibition also highlights the high quality and nutritional value of Saudi dates while strengthening the Kingdom's presence at major international food events in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

Saudi Arabia produces nearly two million tonnes of dates annually and exports them to more than 125 countries, with total exports valued at nearly SAR2 billion, making the Kingdom one of the world's leading producers and exporters of dates.
