Pakistani actor Sanam Saeed has opened up about the criticism she occasionally receives over her appearance, responding to online remarks with confidence and grace.

Speaking during a recent interview, Sanam Saeed revealed that despite spending years in the entertainment industry, she has faced very little trolling on social media. However, she admitted that some people have commented on her looks, often using terms like “Khoji” or “Koji.”

Explaining the remarks, the host noted that “Khoji” refers to a detective-like appearance, while “Koji” is often used for someone who does not fit traditional beauty standards. Reacting to this, Sanam responded with a composed perspective, saying that such comments do not really bother her.

“The worst they called me was ‘Koji,’ but then they are not really trolling me they are commenting on the Creator, because Allah made me the way I am,” she said.

During the conversation, Sanam also reflected on beauty standards in Pakistan, saying that fair complexion and certain facial features are often considered ideal. However, she pointed out that internationally, wheatish complexion and natural features are equally admired.

The actor further described herself as having a “classic Pakistani face,” adding that many people she meets often tell her she resembles women from different parts of Pakistan.

Sanam Saeed remains one of Pakistan’s most admired actors, earning acclaim for performances in hit dramas including Daam, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Shak, Mera Naseeb, Kadoorat, Deedan, Dil Banjara, and Diyar-e-Dil.

She also received praise for films such as Ishrat Made in China, Bachana, and Maah-e-Mir.

Most recently, she appeared in Main Manto Nahi Hoon and Kafeel, where her performance as Zeba was widely appreciated. She is next set to appear in an upcoming drama alongside Emmad Irfani.
