The revelations surfaced during the interrogation of the arrested prime accused, Anwar Aleem Khanzada, by the Anti-Corruption Police on Thursday.

According to officials, the Anti-Corruption department has summoned several high-ranking figures, including Abbas Baloch, Deputy Secretary Farhan Akhtar, Office Secretary Muhammad Ejaz, Personal Secretary to the Minister Naeem Qureshi, and former chairmen Barkat Ali Haidri, Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, and Dr. Samar Raza Talpur. All have been directed to appear before the Anti-Corruption Circle Office Mirpurkhas on April 24, 2026, with relevant records.

Investigators revealed that Khanzada held multiple influential positions between 2016 and 2026, including Controller of Mirpurkhas Board, Controller of Karachi Board, and Secretary Hyderabad.

Authorities have sought comprehensive documentation explaining his repeated appointments to key posts, demanding submission of all transfer and appointment notifications, summaries, working papers, and policy records within seven days, warning of legal consequences in case of non-compliance.

The probe further alleges that Rs8 million were paid to Barkat Ali Haidri, Rs13.5 million to Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah, and Rs15 million to Dr. Samar Raza Talpur as bribes to facilitate illegal activities. Investigators describe these disclosures as a critical turning point in the case, with officials indicating that more arrests and startling revelations are likely as the high-stakes inquiry unfolds.
