BUREWALA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) The Punjab government has granted approval to develop and rehabilitate 36 roads
to inter-connect different villages and improve their linkages with urban areas to
accelerate trade activities and facilitate people through better road communication.
The Rs 1.69 billion initiative reflects Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif's commitment
to upgrade road infrastructure in rural areas of tahsil Burewala and strengthen
linkages with cities.
Commissioner Multan Amir Kareem Khan announced that work on the projects would begin
soon to bring significant improvement in travel facilities for both urban and rural areas.
The schemes approved included THQ hospital road, bypass road, several link roads connecting
different villages and blocks, and other major rural routes and those in urban areas.
Total length of the roads would be 34.4 kilometres to be completed at a cost of Rs 1,696.851 million.
