RPO visits Darazinda, reviews security, public concerns

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) Regional Police Officer (RPO) Dera Ismail Khan Ghulam Mubashir Mekan on Friday paid a detailed visit to the Darazinda Sub-Division, where he reviewed security arrangements, met local elders, and assessed policing performance in the area.

He was accompanied by District Police Officer (DPO) Dera, Ziauddin Ahmed, along with senior officials including the SP CTD and SP Saddar.

During the visit, the RPO met Brigadier Anwar of the SSB-21 Brigade Unit at FC Fort Darazinda.

The meeting focused on prevailing security challenges, the overall law and order situation, and enhancing coordination between law enforcement and security forces.

The RPO also held an interaction with local elders, listened to their concerns, and issued on-the-spot directives to the DPO for prompt resolution of public issues. He emphasized that anti-social elements aim to create a divide between the public and security institutions, but such intentions would be thwarted through unity and cooperation.

Reaffirming commitment to lasting peace, Ghulam Mubashir Mekan stated that the sacrifices of police and security forces would not go in vain, adding that public cooperation remains essential for sustainable peace in the region.

During the visit, the RPO inspected Darazinda Police Station, reviewed security arrangements, and met with police personnel to hear their concerns, which were addressed on the spot. He directed officers to perform their duties with courage, integrity, and professionalism, while maintaining loyalty to the department and colleagues.

Later, the RPO visited Darazinda Bazaar, where he interacted with citizens, inquired about their issues, and instructed the SP Saddar to ensure immediate redressal. On the occasion, sports equipment and toys were also distributed among children.

The RPO further inspected Daraban Police Station, Aman Mela and Khhutti check posts, reviewing security measures, infrastructure conditions, and facilities including accommodation and food standards. At Khhutti check post, police personnel who successfully foiled a terrorist attack were awarded commendation certificates and cash prizes.

At the end, the RPO reiterated his resolve to utilize all available resources to further improve law and order, ensure public safety, and enhance the standard of policing across the Dera region.
