RPO orders improved investigation in narcotics cases

SARGODHA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sargodha Muhammad Shehzad Asif Khan on Tuesday chaired a video-link meeting to review and finalize proposals aimed at improving the investigation process in narcotics-related cases across the region.

According to a spokesperson of Punjab Police,all Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs) and DSP Legals participated in the meeting.

The participants put forward various suggestions to ensure effective legal action against drug peddlers and to enhance the quality of investigations in registered cases.

Addressing the meeting,RPO Muhammad Shehzad Asif Khan said that eradication of the drug menace was only possible through strong legal proceedings,adding that thorough police investigations played a key role in bringing offenders to justice.

He directed SDPOs to personally monitor the progress of narcotics cases and fulfill their legal responsibilities to ensure that drug traffickers were awarded strict punishments by the courts.

RPO further emphasized that all available resources must be utilized to curb drug trafficking,protect youth and maintain law and order in the region.
