RPO Faisalabad reviews Eid security, attends prize ceremony in Chiniot

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th May, 2026) Regional Police Officer (RPO) Faisalabad Sohail Akhtar Sukhera visited Chiniot and held a meeting with members of the Peace Committee at the DPO office along with DPO Chiniot Dr. Naveed Atif.

Scholars of all schools of thought and other members from across the district attended the meeting. The law-and-order situation in Chiniot district and arrangements for Eid-ul-Adha were reviewed during the session.

Members of the Peace Committee presented suggestions and highlighted problems, with assurances given that solutions would be provided.

RPO Sukhera said the safety of people’s lives and property and the establishment of law and order would be ensured at all costs, stressing that the role of the Peace Committee is vital for promoting religious tolerance, harmony, and brotherhood.

Later, Sohail Akhtar Sukhera attended the prize distribution ceremony at the Khatm-e-Nabuwwat Institute of Modern Sciences Chiniot.

DPO Dr. Naveed Atif, SP Investigation Muhammad Usman Malik, and other officers were present. Students performed a parade, demonstrated martial arts, and displayed other skills during the event.

The RPO and DPO distributed prizes among position holders. Speaking on the occasion, RPO Sukhera appreciated the college administration for combining religious and secular education and paid tribute to teachers for their efforts in the students’ education and training.

He urged the young generation to study diligently and bring glory to the country, adding that steps are being taken to maintain law and order and curb drug use.

He further said that daughters and sisters should continue their education without hesitation and report any complaints to police without fear of blackmail. Referring to the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, he reiterated a zero-tolerance policy on harassment of women and other offenses.
