Roof collapse in Chiniot claims four lives, injures one

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Apr, 2026) At least four members of a family were killed and another was injured when the roof of their house collapsed in Chiniot in the wee hours of Thursday.

According to Police officials, the roof of a house in the Kandiwal area on the outskirts of Chiniot suddenly collapsed, burying five family members who were asleep under the debris, local media channel reported.

Police and rescue teams recovered the bodies of a man, his wife and their two sons, while an 18-year-old girl was pulled out alive with injuries.

The deceased were identified as Tanvir, Razia, Waqar and Waqas. The victims were shifted to a nearby hospital and the bodies were later handed over to their families.
