FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Apr, 2026) The experts emphasized that respecting differing opinions despite disagreements is essential for promoting peace, harmony and brotherhood in society.

They were addressing a seminar titled “Embracing Neurocognitive Differences” organized by the Institute of Home Sciences University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) while Head of Psychiatry Department Faisalabad Medical University (FMU) Dr Imtiaz Dogar and others addressed the participants as the keynote speaker.

Dr Imtiaz Dogar said that neurocognitive differences should neither be considered weaknesses nor limitations but rather diverse forms of human thinking. He stressed that every individual possesses unique abilities that deserve recognition and respect.

He stressed the need to create a supportive environment where individuals feel valued and confident to contribute positively to society. “Acceptance and understanding are key to build a peaceful and inclusive society”, he added.

Dean Faculty of food, Nutrition and Home Sciences Dr Imran Pasha said that awareness and understanding must go hand in hand with development. He remarked that theme of the seminar conveyed a simple yet powerful message that every individual deserves respect, acceptance and equal opportunities.

Dr Samreen Afzal shed light on thinking patterns and psychological aspects, stating that such platforms play a crucial role in promoting awareness, understanding and mutual respect in society.

Director Institute of Home Sciences Dr Benish Israr said that as members of an academic community, it is their responsibility to promote a culture that values diversity in all its forms.

She said that differences are a natural part of human nature and acknowledging them can lead to a more inclusive environment.

Alveena Haseeb and others also addressed the seminar and highlighted the importance of embracing diversity and promoting tolerance to build a cohesive and progressive society.
