Rescue 1122 remains on high alert during Eid-ul-Azha

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) District Emergency Officer (DEO) Engineer Ehtesham Wahla has visited the Rescue 1122 control room on the first day of Eid-ul-Azha and reviewed the presence, performance and response time of rescue teams deployed at various emergency points across the district.

During visit, the district emergency officer exchanged Eid greetings with the staff present at the central rescue station and appreciated their commitment to public service during Eid holidays.

He directed all Rescue 1122 personnel to remain fully alert and ensure immediate and effective response in any emergency situation so that timely assistance could be provided to citizens.

Engineer Ehtesham Wahla emphasized that protection of human life and prompt emergency response is top priority of Rescue 1122 particularly during Eid-ul-Azha when movement of people and public activity significantly increased.

Meanwhile, Rescue 1122 established special rescue points at various canals and water bodies in Faisalabad, Jaranwala, Tandlianwala and Samundri to ensure timely emergency services and prevent drowning incidents during Eid holidays.

Emergency Officer Operations Ghulam Shabbir also visited different rescue points and conducted a detailed inspection of arrangements, operational preparedness and available facilities.

He reviewed deployment of rescue staff, availability of rescue equipment, ambulances and emergency resources at sensitive locations.

Ghulam Shabbir directed rescue teams to remain fully prepared to deal with any possible emergency and maintain round-the-clock vigilance at canal points and public areas.

Rescue officials said that additional staff and emergency resources had been deployed at important locations to ensure swift response in case of accidents, drowning incidents, medical emergencies or other untoward situations during Eid celebrations.
