Rescue 1122 provides first aid to over 3,000 mourners on Ashura

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Jun, 2026) The district emergency service Rescue 1122 provided first aid to over 3000 mourners and shifted over 80 patients to the hospital during processions and majalis on Ashura.

According to Rescue 1122 spokesman Aizaz Mehmood, besides Dera Ismail Khan city, the Rescue 1122 teams also remained deployed in Paharpur, Paroa and Kulachi tehsils, where they provided prompt first aid and emergency medical assistance to mourners participating in processions.

On Youm-e-Ashura, Rescue 1122 covered around 20 mourning processions by deploying approximately 126 rescue personnel to provide uninterrupted emergency services.

The Rescue 1122 administered first aid to more than 3,000 mourners at procession sites, while over 80 patients requiring further medical treatment were shifted to hospitals.

District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 Dera Ismail Khan thanked the media, district administration, police, civil society and all relevant departments for their cooperation in ensuring the peaceful observance of Muharram.

He said the close coordination among all institutions, coupled with the tireless efforts of Rescue 1122 personnel, made it possible to deliver efficient and timely emergency services throughout the Muharram period.
