MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) The Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) Multan has issued a comprehensive emergency plan for Eid-ul-Azha 2026, placing rescue teams on high alert to ensure timely response and uninterrupted emergency services during the festive days.
The emergency preparedness plan was finalized during a high-level meeting chaired by District Emergency Officer Dr. Hussain Mian in line with the directions of Secretary Emergency Services Dr. Rizwan Naseer.
Under the plan, Rescue 1122 will deploy ambulances, fire and rescue vehicles and mobile emergency posts at major Eid congregations, mosques, recreational sites and other public places across the district to facilitate citizens during Eid holidays.
All rescue personnel will remain on 24-hour high alert and will be equipped with modern medical and firefighting equipment to deal with any emergency situation effectively, officials said.
Special deployment arrangements have also been made in the tehsils of Jalalpur Pirwala and Shujaabad to ensure prompt emergency response in suburban and rural areas.
According to Rescue 1122 officials, mobile emergency posts will be established at key locations, including Central Eidgah on Khanewal Road, Qila Kohna Qasim Bagh, Abdali Mosque on Abdali Road, Mosque Umar Bin Khattab in Shah Rukn-e-Alam Colony, Saddar Cantt, Askari Lake, Hussain Agahi, Vehari Chowk, Al-Quresh Colony in Muzaffarabad and Haideria Mosque in Gulgasht Colony.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Addressing rescue personnel, Dr. Hussain Mian urged officials to continue performing their duties with commitment and professionalism.
“You are our pride, and like previous occasions, you should fulfill your responsibilities with dedication during Eid. Reaching emergency sites with minimum response time must remain our top priority,” he said.
Rescue 1122 also appealed to citizens to immediately call the emergency helpline 1122 in case of any untoward incident and adopt precautionary measures to avoid emergencies during Eid holidays.
The department advised the public to avoid bathing in lakes, rivers and canals, refrain from dangerous stunts such as one-wheeling, strictly follow traffic laws and ensure helmet use while riding motorcycles.
Citizens were also urged to immediately inform law enforcement agencies through helpline 15 in case of any suspicious activity or object.
Dr. Hussain Mian reiterated that public service remained the core mission of Rescue 1122 and assured that rescue teams would make every possible effort to ensure people celebrate Eid safely and without disruption.
