Rescue 1122 issues heatwave alert, set up camps in KP

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 30th Jun, 2026) Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued a heatwave alert for safety and guidance of people.

According to a statement issued here on Tuesday from Rescue 1122 Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to ensure safety of people during the ongoing extreme heatwave, Rescue 1122 has set up heatwave camps in ten most affected districts which are providing immediate medical assistance, ORS, salt water, cold water and other essential facilities to the public across the province.

People are advised to drink plenty of water, avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun, wear light-colored clothes and take special care of children, the elderly and the sick.

If anyone feel dizzy, severe weakness, fainting, headache or difficulty breathing, he should immediately contact the nearest heatwave camp or call 1122.

Public is also advised to stay safe, take precautions and inform others about preventive measures.
