Rescue 1122 contains warehouse fire, averts major loss

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Jun, 2026) The Rescue-1122 firefighters successfully contained fire erupted at a textile warehouse on Millat Road, averting major financial losses.

Rescue 1122 spokesman said here on Sunday that the fire broke out at a warehouse of Kalash Textile on Millat Road due to an electric short circuit and sparking caused by high voltage.

The flames quickly engulfed cloth cut pieces stored inside the warehouse.

Rescue 1122 said that the affected building was spread over five marlas, of which nearly two marlas were damaged by the fire.

On receiving emergency call, Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after hectic efforts, preventing it from spreading to remaining portion of the warehouse and nearby properties.

However, no loss of life or injuries was reported in this incident, he added.
