ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf joined Pakistani pilgrims at the plains of Arafat on Tuesday as millions of pilgrims gathered for Wuquf-e-Arafah, the central pillar and holiest day of Hajj 1447 AH, in an atmosphere filled with prayers, Talbiyah and spiritual devotion.

The Talbiyah of “Labbaik Allahumma Labbaik” echoed across the holy plains from early morning as pilgrims remained engaged in Takbeer, recitation of the Holy Quran and heartfelt supplications seeking Allah’s mercy and forgiveness.

Yousaf personally visited camps of Pakistani pilgrims in Mina and Arafat and reviewed arrangements and facilities being provided during the most important days of Hajj.

The minister met pilgrims, listened to their concerns and directed officials on the spot to immediately resolve complaints or operational issues faced by Pakistani Hujjaj.

He said a proper complaint-management system had been established for pilgrims and added that arrangements during this year’s Hajj had remained highly satisfactory.

Talking to APP, the minister said Pakistan was making continuous efforts every year to improve Hajj facilities and pilgrim services and noted that better arrangements had been ensured during Hajj 1447 AH.

A Pakistani pilgrim, Rai Imran, talking to APP, said the personal presence of the Pakistani minister among pilgrims in the holy sites was highly appreciable and encouraging for Pakistani Hujjaj.

A female Pakistani pilgrim, Iqra, also told APP that despite intense heat and huge crowds at Arafat, pilgrims were feeling safe and spiritually satisfied while continuously praying for Pakistan and the Muslim Ummah.

The minister appealed to pilgrims to specially pray for Pakistan’s peace, stability, protection, and the success of ongoing efforts for peace and prosperity in the region.

He also praised the Saudi government for its excellent Hajj arrangements and said managing and serving millions of pilgrims in such a massive gathering was a remarkable achievement.

Yousaf particularly appreciated Saudi authorities for maintaining cleanliness, crowd management and smooth operational systems across the holy sites during the Hajj season.
