FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) Adviser to the Prime Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan on Wednesday said Pakistan was emerging as a strong voice of peace, wisdom and diplomatic balance amid escalating regional tensions while the Federal government remained committed to presenting a relief-oriented budget to ease the burden on inflation-hit citizens.

Talking to the media after offering Eidul Azha prayers at his public secretariat, he extended greetings to the nation and the Muslim Ummah, praying for peace, stability and prosperity for Pakistan and the Islamic world.

Referring to tensions between Iran and the United States, Rana Sanaullah said the conflict had created economic and security challenges across the region, adding that ordinary citizens were also facing the impact through inflationary pressure and economic uncertainty.

Despite difficult international circumstances, he said, the government fully understood the hardships being faced by the public and was making efforts to provide maximum possible relief through the upcoming federal budget.

He said welfare initiatives launched under CM Maryam Nawaz were already benefiting people in Punjab, while the federal government was also focused on extending economic support to the masses.

“If the regional war-like situation had not emerged, the government would have been able to announce an even larger relief package,” he added.

Commenting on Pakistan’s diplomatic role, Rana Sanaullah said the country’s leadership had demonstrated wisdom and restraint during the ongoing regional tensions, which had enhanced Pakistan’s global image as a country striving for peace, dialogue and stability.

He praised Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and COAS/CDF Syed Asim Munir for their leadership during the sensitive period, saying their efforts had helped promote unity within the Muslim world.

The PM adviser also lauded the courage and resilience shown by the people of Iran during the conflict, describing it as a matter of pride for the Muslim Ummah.

On security issues,he strongly condemned terrorism and alleged that hostile elements were attempting to destabilise Pakistan through violence.

Referring to India, he claimed terrorism was being promoted against Pakistan under the guise of “Sindoor Phase-II”, adding that Pakistan’s armed forces and security institutions were responding effectively.

He said the world recognized Pakistan as a responsible nuclear power whose role contributed to regional balance and stability.

Discussing the economy, Rana Sanaullah said Pakistan, like many other countries, was facing economic challenges due to global uncertainty.

However, he added, the government had successfully steered the country away from the threat of default over the past few years and gradually stabilised the economy despite inherited difficulties.

He expressed hope that easing regional tensions and a possible reduction in petroleum prices would help reduce inflationary pressure and provide relief to the public.

On terrorism,he alleged that militant activities inside Pakistan were linked to elements operating from Afghanistan with support from hostile foreign actors.

He said Pakistan had supported the Afghan people for decades and urged Afghan authorities not to allow their soil to be used for terrorist activities against Pakistan.

Rana Sanaullah also paid tribute to the families of martyrs on Eid-ul-Azha,saying the nation remembered with honor the sacrifices rendered by those who laid down their lives for the country.
