RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jun, 2026) The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has intensified its crackdown on illegal and unauthorised housing schemes and issued a show-cause notice to the Chief Executive Officer of Veteran Enclave Limited for allegedly marketing and selling plots without obtaining the required approval from the authority.
According to an RDA spokesperson, the action was taken on the directions of Commissioner Rawalpindi Division and Director General RDA, Engineer Aamir Khattak.
He said the notice was issued over the alleged advertisement, marketing on social media and sale of plots in the housing project located in Taxila without securing the requisite no-objection certificate (NOC) or approval from the RDA.
The RDA warned the public against investing in illegal housing schemes and advised citizens to verify the legal status of any project before making investments.

He said some owners and developers were allegedly misleading the public by claiming that their projects had obtained RDA approval despite lacking the required authorisation.
The spokesperson said the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate had written to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Cyber Crime Wing Islamabad, Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), District Collector Rawalpindi and District Council Rawalpindi regarding the alleged illegal advertisement of private housing schemes on social media platforms, WhatsApp, YouTube and other internet-based applications.
