QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th May, 2026) The martyrdom toll from the terrorist attack near Chaman Phatak in Quetta has risen to 14, including three Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers, according to Shahid Rind, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Balochistan on Political and Media Affairs.
Shahid Rind confirmed that several others were injured in the blast, among them women and children, who were immediately shifted to hospitals for treatment. He condemned the attack as a cowardly act by peace-enemy elements who deliberately targeted unarmed civilians.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Security forces swiftly cordoned off the area, while evidence collection and investigations are underway. Shahid Rind emphasized that targeting public places reflects the desperation of terrorists, adding that the sacrifices of martyrs will not go in vain.
He reaffirmed that the Balochistan government remains committed to protecting its citizens and will continue operations against militants until terrorism is completely eradicated.
