MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Jun, 2026) Adviser to Punjab Ombudsperson in Multan, Mahmood Javed Bhatti, said Thursday the Ombudsperson's office is committed to ensuring prompt resolution of public complaints against government departments and institutions across the province.
He was speaking at a public awareness seminar organized at Union Council No. 22, Manzoorabad in the city under the directives of the Punjab Ombudsperson to improve institution's outreach to public. Adviser Multan-II, Waqar Hussain, Muaz Bakhtiyar were also present on the occasion.
Bhatti said that citizens can lodge complaints against any provincial government department without engaging a lawyer, adding that most issues are resolved within a short period through institution's swift complaint redressal mechanism.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>He informed the participants that citizens can submit complaints either to the regional offices or directly to the head office in Lahore through postal services. He added that complainants are notified about hearing dates and timings through SMS alerts sent to their registered mobile numbers.
Highlighting the objectives, role, and performance of the institution, he said the Punjab Ombudsperson is working to ensure the provision of justice at the doorstep of citizens through its regional offices across the province, in line with the vision and directives of the Ombudsperson.
A large number of residents attended the awareness seminar. Complaints submitted by citizens were registered on the spot, and participants were assured that their issues would be addressed in accordance with the law.
