Punjab Education Minister lauds Attock’s educational reforms at provincial ceremony

ATTOCK, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2026) The educational initiatives undertaken in Attock district earned widespread recognition at the provincial level during a prestigious ceremony held at Jinnah Auditorium, Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan, where the Punjab school Education Department inaugurated the Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) Camps 2026, distributed awards among high-achieving Grade-8 LSA students, and launched additional classrooms under the Chief Minister Punjab’s School Infrastructure Package.

The ceremony was attended by Punjab Minister for School Education Rana Sikandar Hayat, Secretary School Education Mudassar Riaz Malik, members of parliament from the Multan Division, and senior government officials. On the occasion, the minister paid special tribute to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Education Attock, Dr. Muhammad Azhar, for his outstanding services and innovative educational reforms.

Addressing the gathering, Rana Sikandar Hayat highlighted several initiatives introduced in Attock, including the installation of rainwater harvesting systems in government schools, the development and beautification of Early Childhood Education (ECE) classrooms, and the successful implementation of the “Learn and Earn” programme.

He described these measures as exemplary efforts aimed at enhancing learning environments and educational outcomes.

The minister said Dr. Muhammad Azhar’s contributions had significantly improved educational standards and student opportunities in the district, setting a model for replication across Punjab. His remarks drew warm applause from participants, reflecting broad appreciation for Attock’s achievements.

Reaffirming the provincial government’s commitment to educational excellence, the minister pledged continued investment in modern facilities, quality learning, and a conducive academic environment to ensure every child receives the best possible education.
